Slightly tilted tripod tubular vase, in translucent blue blown glass. The piece features significant hot-worked elements, particularly at the rim, the base, the "tears" that emerge and flow down to the base, and the floral cabochons. These elements give the form a particularly organic character. The surface is enlivened with a polychrome enamel decoration of Japanese inspiration, composed of leafy and flowering branches, various plants, butterflies, and a bird perched on a branch.
Several vases of comparable form are known today, with or without their base. However, they are consistently distinguished by the color of the glass and the composition of their enamel decoration, making each example a unique work.
Condition: Good condition.
Signature: Signed on the reverse, below the piece, in reddish-brown enamel: "A. Jean."
