Four-sided vase with a quadruped square base, in translucent pink blown glass. The structure is enlivened by several hot-worked elements: the base, the neck stretched with pincers, the glass "tears" that seem to escape from it, and the cabochons applied to the body.
The vase is adorned with a rich polychrome enameled decoration of Far Eastern inspiration, combining flowers, flowering branches, and ribbons with motifs evoking traditional Japanese textiles. Metallic effects and subtle gilded highlights enrich the composition.
Several vases of comparable form are known today, of varying dimensions. However, they are consistently distinguished by the color of the glass and the composition of their enameled decoration, making each example a singular work.
Condition: Good condition
Signature: Signed on the base, on the reverse, in red enamel: "AJean".
