Small tripod vase in translucent blue blown glass with metallic reflections and gilded highlights. The body features a deep circular indentation in the center of each of its three sides. Several elements are hot-worked, notably the base, the neck stretched with pincers from which glass tears flow, and the undulating ribs.
The vase is adorned with a rich polychrome enamel decoration of Far Eastern inspiration, composed of flowers and leafy branches, multiform cartouches, ribbons, and fans serving as supports for floral and geometric motifs evoking traditional Japanese fabrics.
Several vases of comparable form are known today, of varying dimensions. However, they are systematically distinguished by the color of the glass and the composition of their enamel decoration, making each example a unique work.
Condition: Good condition
Signature: Signed under the vase, red enamel: "AJean".
