Tripod globular vase, in translucent blue glass for the body and purple for the three undulating "ribs" and the lips, stretched and hot-worked with tongs. Glass "tears", also hot-worked, escape from the lips and flow down to the base of the body. These applications, enriched with metallic effects and gilded highlights, accentuate the organic character of the material and give the surface a particularly dynamic animation. The body is adorned with a polychrome enamel decoration of Japoniste inspiration, composed of foliage, ribbons, and cartouches featuring geometric motifs reminiscent of traditional Japanese textiles. The sobriety of the palette, dominated by blue and purple tones, highlights the play of transparency, relief, and light characteristic of Auguste Jean's glasswork.

Several vases of comparable shape are known today, of varying dimensions. However, they are systematically distinguished by the color of the glass and the composition of their enameled decoration, making each example a unique work.

Condition: Good condition. Small chip on one of the feet.

Signature: Signed on the reverse, beneath the vase, in red enamel: "AJean".
