Slightly tilted tripod tubular vase, in translucent purple blown glass. The piece shows significant hot-working, particularly in the lips, the base, the "tears" that emanate from it and flow down to the base, as well as the floral cabochons. These elements give the shape a particularly organic character. The surface is enlivened with a polychrome enameled decoration of Japonisme inspiration, composed of flowering branches, ribbons, and a circular cartouche featuring geometric motifs reminiscent of traditional Japanese textiles.

Several vases of comparable form are known today, with or without their bases. However, they are consistently distinguished by the color of the glass and the composition of their enameled decoration, making each example a unique work.

Condition: Good condition. Two small cracks.

Signature: Signed on the reverse, under the base: in red enamel "A. Jean" and with a hot-applied glass pastille "AJean".
