Small, flat, quadripod jardiniere, made of translucent smoked blown glass in blue, enhanced with hot-worked elements: the quadripod base, the neck, and the "tears" of glass that seem to flow from it. The surface is adorned with a rich polychrome enameled decoration of Far Eastern inspiration, composed of various flowers intertwined with leafy branches, highlighted by numerous gilded accents and metallic effects, as well as cartouches and fan-shaped supports for motifs evoking traditional Japanese fabrics.
Several jardinieres of comparable shape are known today, of varying dimensions. However, they are systematically distinguished by the color of the glass and the composition of their enameled decoration, making each piece a unique work.
Condition: Good condition
Signature: Signed under the vase, at the pontil, in red/brown enamel "A. Jean".
