Small flattened quadripod jardinière, in translucent amber blown glass, enhanced with hot-worked and applied blue glass elements: the quadripod base, the neck, and the "teardrops" of glass that seem to flow from it. The contrast between the two glass colors and the hot applications give the object an organic character. The surface is adorned with a rich polychrome enameled decoration of Far Eastern inspiration, consisting of various flowers mixed with leafy branches, highlighted by numerous gilded accents and metallic effects.
Several jardinières of comparable shape are known today, of varying dimensions. However, they are systematically distinguished by the color of the glass and the composition of their enameled decoration, making each example a unique work.
Condition: Good condition
Signature: Signed under the vase, at the pontil, in red/brown enamel "A. Jean".
