Small tripod ovoid vase in translucent smoky blown glass, reddish-brown with metallic reflections and gilded highlights. The material, freely worked while hot, forms a pinched tripod base, an irregular neck with an almost "shredded" rim, as well as long undulating "tears" seemingly flowing from the neck, accentuating the organic and fluid character of this vase.

The polychrome enameled decoration, Japanese-inspired, consists of butterflies, foliage, and flowers, as well as cartouches with complex shapes supporting geometric and floral motifs reminiscent of traditional Japanese textiles.

Several vases of comparable shape are known today, of varying sizes. However, they are consistently distinguished by the color of the glass and the composition of their enameled decoration, making each example a unique work.
