Large tripod vase with a triangular base, in blown glass tinted plum-aubergine, almost opaque, with metallic reflections and enhanced with gilded accents. Several elements are worked and hot-applied: the base, the neck, and the "tears" of glass that seem to flow from it.

The vase is adorned with a polychrome enameled decoration of Far Eastern inspiration, executed with great finesse. A golden bird in flight stands out among a scattering of vegetation, flowers, and flowering branches, whose arrangement evokes the aesthetics of Japanese prints. The composition, deliberately light and airy, contrasts with the density of the glass and its metallic effects.

Several vases of comparable form are known today, but each is distinguished by the color of the glass and/or the composition of its enameled decoration, making each example a unique interpretation of the model. This one is particularly distinguished by the quality and finesse of its painted decoration, as well as by the harmony of its palette which gives the whole an autumnal tone.

Condition: Good condition

Signature: Signed in enamel under the base "AJean" as well as with a hot-applied pastille "AJean".
