Large tapered tripod vase with a triangular base, in translucent champagne-yellow blown glass, with metallic reflections and enhanced with gilded accents. Several elements are worked and applied hot: the base, the neck, and the "tears" of glass that seem to flow from it.
The vase is adorned with a gilded decoration of Far Eastern inspiration, executed with great finesse, composed of flowers, leafy branches, butterflies, and birds in flight or perched on a branch.
Several vases of comparable form are known today, but each is distinguished by the color of the glass and/or the composition of its enameled decoration, making each example a unique interpretation of the model. This vase stands out for the preciousness of its gilded painted decoration, which contrasts with the polychrome decorations Auguste Jean usually employs.
Condition: Good condition
Signature: Signed on the reverse, under the vase, with a sticker "A Jean".
