Circular plate in earthenware glazed with a deep blue cover, adorned with a rich polychrome painted decoration of Neo-Renaissance inspiration. In the center, a bust shown in profile is set within a cartouche with cutout contours and stands out against a yellow background punctuated with small crosses. The central medallion is punctuated, around its edge, by scrolls and trefoil motifs arranged in a cardinal composition.
These are all elements that make this dish a piece particularly representative of the production that contributed to the renown of Auguste Jean.
Condition: Good condition. A small chip on the rim.
