It brings together the main characteristics of this period: a flat silhouette, a neck with \u003cstrong\u003eorganic shapes\u003c\/strong\u003e extended by hot-worked \"tears\", the use of \u003cstrong\u003egilded highlights and metallized glass\u003c\/strong\u003e — a process the artist specialized in and for which he filed a patent — as well as a Japanese-inspired enameled decoration.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhile this form is now known through several examples, sometimes with variations in the base — tripod or quadripod — the decoration of this vase is, however, unprecedented.
